  • Hispanic Heritage Month LIDERES: Entrepreneur  and Business Leaders Roundtable Series. NAHCC Board of Directors in attendance. In  Partnership with Williamson Inc.
  • The Art of Cooperative Entrepreneurship: Worker Co-Op Academy.  The Co-op Academy is an intensive 10-week training and support program that helps teams of aspiring entrepreneurs develop worker-owned businesses together. It’s a free business boot camp for cooperative start-ups! Presented by NAHCC member Southeast Center for Cooperative Development.

  • Join our Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce for an early start as we prepare to celebrate National Hispanic Heritage Month with: The History of Latinx/Hispanic Community Presented in partnership with Vanderbilt University and Nashville Public Library (6 pm to 8 pm). Welcome reception catered by Zulema's Kitchen at 5:30 pm. Moderated by Dr. André L. Churchwell, Senior Advisor on Inclusion and Community Outreach at Vanderbilt University and Yuri Cunza, NAHCC President and CEO. SATURDAY, September 16: ​
  • Upper Cumberland Hispanic Heritage Festival  at Dogwood Park in Cookeville, Tennessee. Join in appreciation of the diverse arts, music, food, dance and cultures of the many Spanish speaking Latino and Hispanic populations. Presented by Hip Cookeville (10 AM to 7 PM). The best and most fun community festival in all of Tennessee and we invite you to join us in celebrating and appreciating the diverse Arts, Music, Food, Dance and cultures of the many Spanish-speaking Latino & Hispanic populations. The festival will culminate with an early evening tribute to the music of Santana performed by Soul Sacrifice.  FREE Admission. There will be cultural booths with lots of delicious ethnic cuisine samples, musical performances from 2 stages all day, dance, cultural arts & artists, bounce houses, balloon artists, face painting and many activities for your family  and friends.

  • The Art of Cooperative Entrepreneurship: Worker Co-Op Academy.  The Co-op Academy is an intensive 10-week training and support program (starting September 6) that helps teams of aspiring entrepreneurs develop worker-owned businesses together. It’s a free business boot camp for cooperative start-ups! You can still join us every Wednesday evening from 6 pm to 8 pm CT. The program includes synchronous online training, guest speakers, and the opportunity to apply for non-extractive financial services.  Click to REGISTER.

  • NAHCC delegation travels to USHCC Chamber Conference / Orlando, FL  - Kick off reception. (4:00 PM to 6:00 PM).

  • NAHCC Celebrates Hispanic Films and Filmmakers @Nashville Film Festival (through Wed, October 4)  Primero, Sueño / First, I Dream (documentary) Two anonymous farmworkers narrate and recount their adolescence growing up in rural indigenous villages and the lack of resources that ultimately led them towards migrating to the state of California. The migrants reflect on the dangers they faced crossing through the southern border and the multiple risks they took even after being detained. The different varieties of crops stitch together and serve as a visual reference for the daily circumstances that come with living in the shadows as an undocumented farmworker, where desperation and exploitation meet in every orchard. Thu, Sep 28th, 12:00 PM @ Belcourt Theatre

  • NAHCC Celebrates Hispanic Films and Filmmakers @Nashville Film Festival screening: Patria y Vida: The Power of Music (documentary). The powerful story of 6 afro descendants rappers who have rewritten Cuban history and sparked a lyrical battle for human rights through a song called “Patria y Vida”. The song has become a revolution in the streets of Cuba, and it has been banned by the government, which imprison people for the simple fact of listening to it. ​ Fri, Sep 29th, 9:00 PM @ Regal Green Hills, Theater 1

  • NAHCC Celebrates Hispanic Films and Filmmakers @Nashville Film Festival  -- AWARDS at Arc Studios - Join us for the 54th Nashville Film Festival film and screenplay competition awards ceremony! We will be handing out twenty-four awards between the film and screenplay official selections. (5 PM)

  • NAHCC Celebrates Hispanic Films at Nashville Film Festival screening: When Evil Lurks - In a remote village, two brothers find a demon-infected man just about to give birth to evil itself.   • NAHCC Celebrates Hispanic Films @Nashville Film Festival screening: Las Visitantes (Women Visiting a City) 3 retired women travel by bus to discover Europe. They've recently lost their husbands and now it's time to start living.   • “Building Strong Latino communities” at Trevecca Nazarene University: In recognition and celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month, the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce is partnering with member organization Trevecca Nazarene University and Associate Provost of Mission, Excellence, & Reconciliation Dr. Terrence Schofield (Dr. T) with its students and surrounding community for a Business Lunch and Learn program moderated by Dr. Schofield alongside with presenter Yuri Cunza, President and CEO, Nashville Chamber of Commerce) and Dr. Dawn Olson,  Associate Professor, Business /Business Administration; with special guests entrepreneurs from our local Hispanic community.  The event will be held on the campus of Trevecca Nazarene University’s Benson Auditorium located in the McClurkan building on campus.  (11:00 AM)

  • NAHCC @Amqui Station/Public Library Festival: We will be present to support our beloved Public Library and Amqui Station and Visitors Center at their fall festival to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!! Join us at Amqui Station to celebrate Hispanic Heritage with family fun. There will be hot chocolate (courtesy of Garden Fresh Food Market), food trucks, games and activities, information on local community services, library card sign ups, a performance from Glencliff High School's Baile Folklorico Team, and an outdoor movie! FREE and open to the public (5:00 PM to 7:00 PM).

They will share their experiences, insights, and expertise in advocating for the interests of Hispanic business owners. The panel will discuss the challenges and opportunities that Latino entrepreneurs face in the local business ecosystem, as well as the initiatives and strategies implemented by the NAHCC to support and promote their growth.
