Yuri Cunza, President & CEO
Yuri Cunza is the President & CEO of the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, and founder of La Noticia Newspaper and Y&K Entertainment a film production and media consulting and supporting services company. He served as Chairman of the Board of the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce from 2004 to 2006. He is currently the organization's President and CEO. Yuri Cunza is an active member of the Nashville Rotary Club and was recently named in Nashville Post magazine's "In Charge" list of business and community leaders 'who are writing Music City's sucess story' (For more info click HERE)
Elliott Ozment, Legal Counsel
Elliott Ozment graduated from Vanderbilt Law School in 1975 and obtained a Certificate in the Program for Instruction for Lawyers from Harvard Law School in 1990. Has focused his practice in immigration law since 1998. Is a member of American Immigration Lawyers Association, American Bar Association, Tennessee Bar Association, Nashville Bar Association, and the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. He has served as the Chair of the Immigration Law Committee of the Nashville Bar Association and is the legal counsel for the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce. In addition to representing hundreds of clients before the USCIS and USICE (successor agencies to the INS), has also tried immigration cases before numerous Immigration Courts (Memphis, Atlanta, New Orleans) and the Board of Immigration Appeals in Washington, D.C. Has also represented immigration clients in numerous U.S. District Courts and has represented immigration appellants before the U.S. Court of Appeals in the Fifth Circuit (New Orleans) and the Sixth Circuit (Cincinnati). He has formerly served as a Representative in the Tennessee House of Representatives and was a Political Analyst for local and state political affairs for Channel 2 News in Nashville.
Cameron Parrish, Membership Director
Cameron Parrish is a native of the Nashville Area and formerly a Partnership Specialist for the Department of Commerce where he served as an outreach advisor to local government and lead public relations efforts to increase participation in the 2010 Census. He is a former regional manager of operations for Knowledge Learning Corporation and responsible for the delivery of academic intervention programs in high-risk public schools in Nashville, Memphis, Chattanooga and Knoxville.
Parrish holds a Bachelors Degree in International Relations with significant academic focus in Anthropology and Latin American Studies from Middle Tennessee State University and a Masters Degree in Business Administration. Cameron has learned and adopted Spanish as his second language and has completed business studies in the Castile-Leon region of Spain. Parrish now works with NAHCC to grow membership and establish new structures for future organizational and economic development of the Hispanic community in West, Middle and East Tennessee.
