METRO ARTS CALLS FOR “2011 EMERGING” HISPANIC ARTIST SUBMISSIONS
Plans for upcoming gallery show celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month
Metro Nashville Arts Commission (Metro Arts) announced last year a partnership with the
Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber to promote and feature the work of local Hispanic visual artists.
The Metro Nashville Arts Commission and the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce seeked single artworks from Hispanic artists for a group exhibit in the Metro Arts Gallery that ran from August 19 to October 7. All styles and media were welcomed. Nineteen participants were selected this year.
This exhibit was opened to all local (Davidson County residents) Hispanic/Latino artists working in any 2D and 3D visual mediun, or residents from contiguous counties with their business primarily handled in Nashville.
