Lillian opened La Hacienda Taqueria in 1993 with her husband Carlos. Visitors quickly came to love the simple taco stand with seating for 20. Today, her restaurant at 2615 Nolensville Road seats 130. The menu includes many delicious Mexican favorites. We're very grateful for our success and see it as a victory for the whole community. Just next door, Lilian and her family opened a Mexican market Mercado La Hacienda in 1992, a year earlier than its sister restaurant. At the time, this was the only market catering to our Hispanic friends and neighbors. Lilian started small. At first, only able to carry those grocery items most important to Hispanic customers in the Nashville area. This meant driving to Chicago once a week. The Yepez's little trailer always seemed ready to burst once packed full for the return trip to Nashville. The authentic ingredients and food specialties carried home brought smiles to kitchens all over town.
In 2009 Lilian received the Outstanding Hispanic Business Achievement Award presented by the Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce in recognition to her business La Hacienda Inc.
