NAHCC, Members, Receive Awards From U. S Small Business Administration
The Nashville Area Hispanic Chamber of Commerce and members received the following Tennessee Champion awards from the U.S Small Business Adminstration, during Tennessee Small Business Week 2010.
Women In Business Advocate of the Year
"For assisting female small businesses owners and entrepreneurs in obtaining financing, either directly or through advocacy efforts to increase the availability of capital."
Loraine Segovia Paz
Loraine studied her bachelor degree in Accounting at the University Mayor of San Simon of Cochabamba in Bolivia and is owner and co-founder of La Noticia Hispanic Newspaper. Her work has allowed her to get involved in a variety of Hispanic outreach and business projects including festival, forums and training sessions. She is a member of the American Red Cross and Comprehensive Care Center Board of Directors. Loraine received the SBA Business Advocate Recognition in 2007 and the NAHCC outstanding Leadership and Service Award in 2008. Loraine Segovia Paz plans to earn her MBA in Nashville.
